Privacy notice

Last updated 10 May 2026

This notice explains how Cobble (a trading name of Richard Cook, based in Costessey, Norwich) collects, uses, and protects personal data. We comply with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).

Who we are

Data controller: Richard Cook, trading as Cobble.
Contact: richard@cobble.digital
Address: Costessey, Norwich, Norfolk, United Kingdom.

We are in the process of registering with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). Our reference number will appear here once issued.

What data we collect

If you submit the lead form, send an email, or call us, we collect:

  • Your name
  • Business name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • The contents of your message and any subsequent correspondence

If we are running B2B prospecting research, we may hold publicly available information about your business (business name, website, business phone, business email, business address) collected from your own website, Companies House, or other public sources.

Why we hold it

The lawful basis depends on how we obtained it.

  • Enquiries you submit to us — your consent when you fill in the form, or our legitimate interest in responding when you email or call (UK GDPR Art. 6(1)(a) and 6(1)(f)).
  • B2B prospect research — our legitimate interest in offering relevant business services to other businesses, balanced against the prospect's reasonable expectations as a business (Art. 6(1)(f)).

How long we keep it

  • Enquiry data: held while we are in active conversation, then up to twenty-four months for follow-up, then deleted.
  • Prospect research data: held until you ask us to remove it, or until we determine the business is no longer a fit.
  • Suppression list: if you opt out, we keep your email address indefinitely (legal obligation under PECR) so we don't accidentally contact you again.

Who we share it with

We do not sell or share your data with third parties for marketing. We do use the following processors:

  • Web3Forms — receives our lead-form submissions and forwards them to us by email. web3forms.com/privacy
  • Our email provider — handles inbound and outbound email. Provider name will be added once configured.
  • CapRover and our VPS host — runs this website. Server logs may temporarily contain IP addresses for security and abuse prevention; logs rotate within fourteen days.

Cookies and tracking

This site uses no marketing cookies and no third-party tracking pixels at this time. If we add analytics in future (Plausible, Fathom, or similar), we will update this notice. We do not use Meta Pixel or Google Tag Manager on this domain.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

  • Ask what data we hold about you (right of access)
  • Ask us to correct inaccurate data (right to rectification)
  • Ask us to delete your data (right to erasure)
  • Object to processing, especially direct marketing (opt out any time)
  • Ask us to restrict processing
  • Ask for a copy of your data in a portable format

To exercise any of these, email richard@cobble.digital. We will respond within thirty days.

Opting out

If we have contacted you via cold email and you'd rather not hear from us, reply with the word STOP (or any opt-out wording) and we'll remove your address from active prospecting within twenty-four hours.

Complaints

If you believe we've handled your data poorly, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. If you remain unhappy, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office: ico.org.uk/concerns.
